Tim Meijs

Owner & President

Tim Meijs holds a B.Sc. from the University of Toronto and a B.Sc. in Horticulture from the University of Guelph. With extensive knowledge of landscape design and construction, he has shared his expertise with thousands of homeowners. Tim taught the Landscape Apprenticeship Program at Georgian College for 1 year and led an 8-week landscape design course for 14 years, covering residential design and construction. Tim’s dedication to the industry and education continues to be a source of inspiration.

Nic Meijs

Project Manager

Nic’s journey in machinery started at age five when he helped clear snow, operating a skid steer beside his father. By 13, he was proficient with skid steers and excavators. A 2024 University of Guelph graduate with a B.Comm in Management (Dean’s List), Nic now serves as a Project Manager, overseeing multiple projects and daily operations. Clients commend his attention to detail and commitment to customer service. Nic’s combination of practical experience and academic achievements makes him a key asset.

I have had Tim and his crew out for a few different projects over the years and have been very happy with the work he has done. Our first project was a new deck with a covered Pergola, he came up with a spectacular design that has truly enhanced our backyard and we enjoy year after year. After this, I decided that Gardens of Prestige was going to be the company I called for all my landscaping. I like that they are organized and the materials needed are delivered in advance, so there is no downtime, once they start a job they are here daily until the work is finished. They clean the worksite every night, answer all my questions, are courteous and guarantee their work.

My neighbours have admired the work they have done and I have and would recommend them for any outdoor needs and wants. As we have quite a large property, I can’t wait to have Tim and his team back for my next design.

Wow! I can’t say enough good things about Tim and his crew. Tim has great design skills and knowledge, and his team are so skilled at making your ideas come true. We had our entire backyard covered in giant flagstone and the skill and dexterity that we saw as they cut and fit each and every piece was remarkable. I loved that they cleaned up the worksite at the end of each day so there was very little impact to our lives. And they were such nice and friendly people, willing to go that extra mile for you (Derek, Nic and Ben – you guys rock!!). We will definitely be using the GoP team again for any future landscaping needs!!!
